Cephra

Track your migraines privately. Log episodes, spot patterns, and understand your triggers. Your data stays on your device by default.

What Cephra Does

Log episodes, track medications, and spot what triggers them.

Episode Tracking

Log severity, duration, symptoms, and triggers for each episode. The more you track, the clearer the picture.

Medication Management

Track rescue and preventive medications, monitor what works, and keep a record to share with your doctor.

Pattern Recognition

Find patterns in your migraine data — what triggers them, when they happen, and what helps.

Insights & Analytics

Dedicated views for frequency trends, medication effectiveness, trigger patterns, severity heatmaps, and more — helping you and your doctor see what's going on.

Simple Interface

Designed to be quick and easy to use, even during a migraine attack.

Custom Tags

Create your own tags to categorize and filter your episodes however makes sense to you.

Import & Export

Export as CSV or generate PDF reports to share with your doctor. Import data from CSV files to migrate from other apps or restore a backup.

Pain Location Tracking

Record where your migraine pain occurs — temples, behind the eyes, back of the head, and more. Track whether certain locations show up more often.

Migraine Risk Forecast

See which days you're most likely to get a migraine based on your historical patterns, so you can plan ahead.

Cloud Sync

Optionally back up and sync your data across devices with encrypted cloud storage. Your identity stays anonymous — no personal information is required.

Private by default

Your health data is stored on your device. If you choose to enable cloud backup, your data is encrypted and your identity stays anonymous. Nothing is shared, sold, or tracked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Cephra is completely free with no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. There are no hidden costs or premium features.

By default, your health data is stored only on your device. If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data is encrypted and tied to an anonymous account — no personal details are collected. Cephra doesn't share or sell any of your information. You have complete control over your data at all times.

Yes! Cephra can generate PDF reports with summary statistics, frequency charts, medication analysis, and more — ideal for sharing with your doctor. You can also export your raw data as CSV for spreadsheets or other apps.

Cephra exports your data in a standardized CSV format that's easy to read and share. Here's what the data looks like:

Date Time Has Headache Menstruating Work Induced Severity Duration (Hours) Rescue Medication Preventive Medication Tags Locations Notes
4/8/2025 23:39 TRUE FALSE FALSE 6 3 None Ibuprofen (400mg); Sumatriptan (50mg) Work; Eye Strain Temple (Right); Forehead Eye strain from reading all day
4/2/2025 8:30 TRUE FALSE TRUE 9 Rizatriptan (Maxalt) (5mg) Ibuprofen (400mg) Caffeine; Work Entire head / "Band" around head Missed my morning coffee

Data Format Details:

  • Date/Time: Standard format (4/8/2025, 23:39)
  • Boolean fields: TRUE/FALSE (for Has Headache, Menstruating, Work Induced)
  • Severity: Numbers 1-10 scale
  • Duration: Hours as decimal (e.g., 3, 2.5) or empty if ongoing
  • Medications: For multiple medications, separate with semicolon and space. Format as "Medicine Name (dosage)" - example: "Ibuprofen (400mg); Sumatriptan (50mg)"

This standardized format ensures your data can be easily imported into other health apps or shared with healthcare providers who can quickly understand your migraine patterns.

Cloud sync is entirely opt-in. When enabled, your data is encrypted and synced across your devices using an anonymous account — no name or personal details required, just an email for verification. You can switch between offline and cloud mode at any time, and you always have the option to delete your cloud data entirely.

If you're using offline mode, deleting the app will remove all your tracking data — make sure to export first if you want to keep it. If you have cloud sync enabled, your data is safely stored and will be restored when you reinstall and log back in.

While Cephra is specifically designed for migraine tracking, it can be used to track other types of headaches as well. The tracking fields are flexible enough to accommodate various headache types.

You can contact us at ApAppsCo@gmail.com for support, feature requests, or bug reports. We value user feedback and use it to improve Cephra continuously.

Yes. Cephra can generate a PDF report that includes summary statistics, your entry log, frequency trends, medication analysis, trigger breakdowns, and a severity calendar. You can choose which sections to include, set a date range, and share it directly from the app.

Yes. Cephra supports importing migraine data from CSV files. During import, you can choose whether to overwrite existing entries and whether to automatically create any new medications or tags found in the file. See the CSV format FAQ above for the expected file structure.

Cephra can be used by teens and children with parental guidance. However, we recommend consulting with a healthcare provider for migraine management in younger patients. The app should complement, not replace, professional medical care.

Support Development

I built Cephra to help people track their migraines without handing over their health data. If you find it useful, that's the goal. If you'd like to support development, it's always appreciated.

Supporting is completely optional and doesn't affect your app experience.
